Blessings Times Two

Welcome to our little piece of the world. We are blessed with health, happiness, & families. We have been blessed twice by different birthfamilies. Each birthfamily was at a time in their life when they needed us & we needed them. We each have been able to bless the other. So this blog is primarily for our children's birthparents who blessed us with the most precious gift of being parents. Thank you for allowing us to be blessed with the precious gift of children.

March update

Last month I posted that Tim was 'leaving' his job of almost yrs.....the good news is right before his last day he got word that he had made it through a 3 rounds of interviews at a new job & was hired. Phew, I was very relieved. I really didn't realize just how stressed I had become about the thought of Tim being out of work. We both knew that God would provide Tim w/ a job but wow, GOD is good & HE answers prayers. Tim starts this new job on Monday---our next prayer is that he won't pull the 3-11 shift card.

I have been sick off & on since the end of January. I had the flu at the end of February that turned into a sinus infection...thought it was gone---but I am still coughing & snoting, augh. We really need summer weather to kill the bugs that are invading our family.

Kids are doing good but starting to get stir crazy w/ the weather....one day warm then the next cold. Successfully got Hayden's IEP in place for the next school year. But have learned that summer school for our Monkey Boy probably won't be happening due to budget cuts.....we are starting to see what we can do to keep him very busy this summer, lining up more speech & OT, extra helpers, making plans to keep Hayden 'socialized'---something that autistic kids struggle with.

Shayla is excelling in karate. She joined the black belt club & seems to really enjoy the extra time at karate. She is now an orange belt. School is going...we are seeing some areas that are struggles, but others are easy. Shayla is a very social child, she enjoys her friends.
Looking forward to a trip to Kentucky to see & visit w/ my sister & her family over Easter.
xoxo, Amy
