Blessings Times Two

Welcome to our little piece of the world. We are blessed with health, happiness, & families. We have been blessed twice by different birthfamilies. Each birthfamily was at a time in their life when they needed us & we needed them. We each have been able to bless the other. So this blog is primarily for our children's birthparents who blessed us with the most precious gift of being parents. Thank you for allowing us to be blessed with the precious gift of children.

hello again!

As usual, time for a little update.
Hard to believe April is ending this week & May beginning. Hopefully, we will have better weather from here on out. This past weekend & the first 2 days of the week have been beautiful--& Texas style HOT, but earlier in the month I seriously was thinking we might need a boat for transportation.

Tim is working the night shift at Hershey...he'll tell you it's a job & very grateful for that, but the work is very different from what he was use to at his previous job. Working nights & many in a row is taking a toll on all of us in many different ways. We are learning to adjust..but it's hard & it stinks at times =(.

I'm thankful for job security...people are always sick & while sometimes elective surgeries are delayed, nurses are always needed.
Shayla is progressing well in her karate sessions. She is now a member of the 'Black Belt Club' & currently working towards her purple belt. Shayla along w/all the 3rd graders in Virginia will be having the SOL testing the next 3 weeks--yikes, sure hope she is ready for it. While Shayla tells us she is, we know that she often rushes through test & doesn't comprehend everything ....lots of praying for her the next 3 weeks, she HAS TO PASS THE TEST to go on to the 4th grade!

Our Hayden.....is a mystery. We have had our ups & downs w/ the Little Man since the beginning of the month. First an ear infection, then he was weaned off of one of seizure meds only to have restart it in 2 days b/c of seizures starting back again, now he has had some weird GI virus for the last 10 days or so...I'm taking him to the doctor today.

No big plans for our family...with Tim's new job, he doesn't have any vacation until October if we're lucky. I hope to take off a week after the kids are out of school, we'll see.
Gotta get ready to take the Monkey Boy to the doctor. I'll aim for pictures another time =).
xoxo, Amy
