Blessings Times Two

Welcome to our little piece of the world. We are blessed with health, happiness, & families. We have been blessed twice by different birthfamilies. Each birthfamily was at a time in their life when they needed us & we needed them. We each have been able to bless the other. So this blog is primarily for our children's birthparents who blessed us with the most precious gift of being parents. Thank you for allowing us to be blessed with the precious gift of children.

Holy Cow Batman, day two....

This morning I had the 'lovely' pleasure of finding out that our portion of Hayden's stay at Hopkins has been cut in half ....think, very nice vacation total. And, a large chunk of this has to be paid by next week, prior to our arrival....the remaining can possibly be made in payments. I politely asked the 'nice' lady to very me the totals again while explaining the insurance portion a-g-a-i-n & that we (Tim & I) would need to discuss this prior to making a pay,net amount. AUGH........! It is like telling a parent your child can't have their chemotherapy/heart transplant/etc until you pay us these funds...well, would that change our minds?! I don't think so, we are too far into this process right now & frankly, we are tired. Tired of seizures, regression of skills because of the seizures & tired of dishing out medications every morning & night but we don't see any slowing down on the seizures.

Soooo, for now we press onward with the food diary. Monday is lab work...that will be a bundle of joy, not! I will be working the weekend, studying for PALS or my nose will be stuck in the keto information. Another whirlwind week looms ahead.

But yeah me, I'm still sticking with my exercise program....20+ days straight now. Progress is slow but consistent.
