Blessings Times Two

Welcome to our little piece of the world. We are blessed with health, happiness, & families. We have been blessed twice by different birthfamilies. Each birthfamily was at a time in their life when they needed us & we needed them. We each have been able to bless the other. So this blog is primarily for our children's birthparents who blessed us with the most precious gift of being parents. Thank you for allowing us to be blessed with the precious gift of children.

Wednesday--new experiences

Well, it is Wednesday...day 4 of Hayden's new diet.
We are trying the casein/gluten (that is milk & wheat) free diet. It is hard work, but we are trying. We have to be one or two meals ahead thinking what Hayden will eat because everything that we are use to eating/fixing has the milk/wheat products in there. It is a really good thing that our little man loves his fruit! He is starting to adapt to soy milk.
We've been doing lots of reading, goggling, researching, question asking lately....trying to figure out the right path to take for our little man.

As a family we rejoined the YMCA. We took a 2 yr break. When Hayden was an infant, there just wasn't any way I could get there as I was also starting back to work full time. But these days, when the rope is tight, stress levels are stretched....well, we are now going to be making time for this activity. Hayden has been to the play room twice this week. Wahoo!! That's a major step for him (& me too).

I am suppose to accompany Shayla on a field trip tomorrow. Hopefully, the rest of the night will be quiet (as I am on call this week) so that I can go.
Hope to catch some pictures tomorrow too. It isn't often that I am able to go do things with Shayla due to crazy work hours...so this will be a good time for us.
Gotta scoot to bed, I'm pooped!

Good luck with the wheat free diet. I myself had to start one in August, and I feel so much better. I wrote about some excellent wheat free breads on my blog at: http://wheatfreediet.wordpress.com/. I also offer some wheat free recipes -- sweet potato soup -- that are a great way to "sneak" veggies in your kids' diets. =)
