Blessings Times Two

Welcome to our little piece of the world. We are blessed with health, happiness, & families. We have been blessed twice by different birthfamilies. Each birthfamily was at a time in their life when they needed us & we needed them. We each have been able to bless the other. So this blog is primarily for our children's birthparents who blessed us with the most precious gift of being parents. Thank you for allowing us to be blessed with the precious gift of children.

Finally vacation!

It has been a really, really long week & I'm so thankful that we are on the road for our vacation.
I had to work part of the day. We got on the road early this afternoon because Tim was able to pack the Highlander, have the kids ready, & the house was all taken care of....with some help from the grandparents on Hayden patrol, that always helps.

The traffic is heavier & now there is rain. I have a feeling it is going to be a long ride today. That was a nasty storm. Rain, wind, & hail....a couple of years ago my sister got caught in a bad hail storm driving home for a visit from Kentucky. Their car was badly damaged & the episode was quite scary. We have made it through the storm & that reminded me our trip is truly in God's hands. We must trust Him for safety during the drive & while we enjoy our time with our friends.

We had to make last minute changes in the vehicle we are driving due to some potential problems given the distance we driving. So we are a bit more cramped in the Highlander but....we are thankful we have this to drive. However, we are seeing that our van is probably on its last leg.

I weigh in each Tuesday at Weight Watchers. As of this past Tuesday, I was 0.6# from the 50# mark. I had set 50# lose was my personal goal by vacation. I was ok with the weigh in. I have set my eyes on my next goal in 5 weeks....we'll see how successful I am.....summer time means lots of cookouts, homemade ice cream, late night s'mores, & changes in activities/plans.

That's all from the road right now.
