Blessings Times Two

Welcome to our little piece of the world. We are blessed with health, happiness, & families. We have been blessed twice by different birthfamilies. Each birthfamily was at a time in their life when they needed us & we needed them. We each have been able to bless the other. So this blog is primarily for our children's birthparents who blessed us with the most precious gift of being parents. Thank you for allowing us to be blessed with the precious gift of children.

Beautiful day in the Valley

October 10, 2006

After a very rainy weekend, the sun has been shinning bring the past 2 days. It has been absolutely beautiful!
Today I was the phone call person at work. Meaning I made several dozen calls to potential surgical patients to inform them of their arrival time, take their history, etc. I really don't like that part of my day....I can hardly stand the sitting ALL day long! It drives me NUTS!!! But anyhow, I made it through the day. There is a tree outside of the window (thank goodness for that!) that has already started changing colors. Last week when I was the 'call person', the leaves were golden orange, today they were red. It amazes me the beauty that I am allowed to see in this valley we call home.

Some things I am thankful for today.....
My dad! He is building our deck. Tim & I had a dream of having a spot to spend our evenings as a family....& Dad has helped that come true. Now, Tim is no handy man & he will be the first to admit that...so Dad is the master of the deck. I gladly stock my cabinets & frig for him to take nourishment while he works.
Here is the progress thus far:

My husband! Tim rescued me at work today. I was so swamped at work making phone calls that I couldn't stop to get lunch. Not to mention there isn't anywhere to get lunch...gotta take it w/ you. Then someone decided to help themselves to a drink that I had put in the frig at the office where calls are made...the nerve, arrrgh! You know that really bugs me b/c diet coke is MY DRINK! So for the little things you do Tim for our family I love you! Lunch to me, watching & caring for Hayden...the list goes on! Thank you & I love you,Tim!

My Shayla!
First grade is proving to be challenging. She is having many 'moments' some good & some well not so good. But this afternoon was a better one. She & I went to the library! Shayla is developing her love for reading. Today she got "Biscuit" the dog books.

My Hayden!
He is such a boy. Hayden is a walker! He is trying to run & it is so funny! He loves to slide. Watching him learn how to go up the slide steps, is so comical...& now he wants to walk up the slide . He wants to eat promptly at 5:30 p.m. It doesn't matter what you are doing, where you are...no holds bar, the boy wants his supper!

Hope your Tuesday has been a great day!
Blessings, Amy
